Background

Ringingroom.com provides a virtual belfry environment for ringers to ring together at a distance. It accepts keystrokes.  Using controllers, with real ringers on every bell or pairs of hand bells, it is now possible to ring performances which meet the Central Council framework criteria for peals.

Another new platform with similar objectives using Abel is called Muster

This a version of Graham John's handbell manager, modified to use ActionXL motion controllers with Ringing Room (ringingroom.com)

 

B) Serial Port interface for a single Tower Bell simulator and serial handbell controllers (details here)

 

This interface program takes the serial port inputs from tower bell simulators like the Saxilby simulator and provides keystroke input to Ringing Room (ringingroom.com), Muster, Abel etc.

This multibell interface program takes the serial port inputs from tower bell simulators (using either the Bagley interface of port signals) and provides keystroke input to Ringing Room (ringingroom.com), Muster, Abel etc.

This interface program takes receives accelerometer input from Android mobile phones and provides keystroke input to Abel and Ringing Room (ringingroom.com)

This interface program takes receives accelerometer input from Android mobile phones using a virtual joystick port program feeds that data to Handbell Manager.
